Important Instructions for AKTU Students

The university has also issued several important guidelines that every student should follow during the academic session.

1. Minimum Teaching Hours

Every affiliated institute must complete the minimum teaching hours prescribed by the university. If required, colleges may conduct extra classes on weekends, holidays, or in online mode.

2. Two Mandatory Class Tests

Every institute must conduct at least two class tests during each semester.

  1. First test after completing approximately one-third of the syllabus.
  2. Second test after completing approximately two-thirds of the syllabus.

Students who miss a test due to genuine reasons such as illness or a family emergency should be provided with a make-up test by the institute.

3. Attendance Rules

Colleges must upload student attendance regularly through the Attendance Monitoring System (AMS).

Students must maintain the minimum attendance required under university regulations.

4. Admit Card Restriction

Students who fail to meet the required attendance criteria will not be permitted to appear in the university examinations, and their admit cards will not be issued.

5. Extra Classes for Newly Admitted Third Semester Students

Institutes have been instructed to conduct additional classes in the early morning, evening, Sundays, or holidays to compensate for any academic loss faced by newly admitted third-semester B.Tech and B.Pharm students.

6. Evaluation Duty

Teachers assigned university evaluation work during vacations will receive earned leave and duty leave according to university rules.

Important Note

The university has clearly mentioned that all dates are subject to change based on future directions or updates issued by AICTE or PCI.
